First Deputy Prime Minister Viktor Zubkov chaired a meeting of the ad hoc team on implementing the federal law on the basic principles of state regulation of trade in Russia.
On the whole, the team approved the draft government executive order on endorsing the methods of calculating the threshold per capita norms of provision of shops for the population and their implementation by Russian regions.
The team agreed with the basic approaches of draft methodological recommendations on drawing regional trade development programmes in compliance with the federal law on the basic principles of state regulation of trade in Russia to unify its implementation in the regions.
Mr Zubkov summarised the discussion by instructing the team to finish its work at said documents and submit them to the government before July 20. He paid special attention to the necessity to remove such clauses of the law that might impede competition and the development of small and medium-size businesses.
