The two officials discussed their countries' current political and economic cooperation, as well as future military and technical cooperation.
It was noted that relations between Russia and Malaysia are based on a shared approach to developing a multi-polar world that facilitates their fruitful cooperation in world affairs.
Russia and Malaysia are active supporters of cooperation within the UN, between Russia and the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN), the ASEAN Regional Forum (ARF), the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) forum and other organisations.
