Prime Minister Vladimir Putin holds a meeting with Viktor Khristenko and Denis Manturov

The participants in the meeting discussed Viktor Khristenko’s appointment as Chairman of the Board of the Eurasian Economic Commission, prospects for further integration in the post-soviet space, and the Ministry of Industry and Trade promotion of Denis Manturov, whom the prime minister asked to carry on as the acting minister.

Prime Minister Vladimir Putin visits St Daniel Monastery to congratulate Patriarch Kirill of Moscow and All Russia on the third anniversary of his enthronement

Vladimir Putin thanked Patriarch Kirill for his enormous contribution to strengthening the spiritual foundation of Russian society and relations with other churches, which the prime minister called one of the “major elements” of Russia’s foreign policy, particularly in post-Soviet republics.

Prime Minister Vladimir Putin holds a meeting on Russian livestock farming in Tambov

“Not only have we practically met the domestic demand for poultry, but we are even beginning to gain on foreign markets. Pig farming has also achieved very good indicators.”

The purpose of this meeting was to resolve the situation with the Lanta-Tur Voyage travel agency. The prime minister instructed the minister to assist the agency in settling its accounts with its foreign contractors for the sake of Russian citizens who are currently abroad on holiday, so they can complete their journeys and come back safely. He reported that there is an agreement with a state-run bank to help in resolving the situation.
