Prime Minister Vladimir Putin meets with Deputy Prime Minister Dmitry Kozak

Vladimir Putin and Dmitry Kozak discussed the results of regional development in 2010. They prioritised the drafting of a long-term strategy for the development of the federal districts’ regions. Mr Kozak said development strategies of four federal districts had been approved in 2010.

The prime minister and the governor focused primarily on regional infrastructure projects, above all road construction, the programme to reduce unemployment, and the state of affairs in education and healthcare. Prime Minister Vladimir Putin visits the Channel One headquarters at Ostankino TV centre in Moscow

During his visit to the Channel One headquarters late yesterday, the prime minister learned how the information programmes desk works and toured the news studio and the production control room. Vladimir Putin also attended the shooting of the TV talent show, A Minute of Fame. The prime minister also met with Channel One’s creative staff.
